Rowdy Beagles was established in 1996 as a small hobby kennel, though our "dog
showing experiences" began in 1973. We are original thinkers who
are selective with our breeding program and though we breed Beagles for ourselves,
and not on demand, we strive to cater to individuals of distinction. In
2000, we offered the "Beagle Health Challenge" resulting in an approximate
400% increase in health/genetic testing among Beagle breeding programs in Northern
America by 2005. We are solely responsible for the initiation of the
latest ground-breaking research resulting in the development of DNA-marker
testing for Musladin-Lueke Syndrome (MLS). The MLS test is now being
performed in Beagle breeding programs around the Globe.
Our Beagles are bred for health, conformation, and temperament with an emphasis
on the breed standard. We have successfully utilized bloodlines from Australia,
Denmark, Finland and England, to name a few, and have produced healthy winners
for the ring, field and home. Several Beagles from our program are involved
in Search and Rescue, are Service Dogs and regularly make positive contributions
to society. Our enriched lives have been extraordinary and our Beagles
have led us to many incredible adventures with unlimited possibilities.
We are members of the Owner-Handler's Association, the Rocky Mountain Beagle
Club (AKC), the Lone Star-La TFT Club (UKC), and the Responsible Pet Owner's
Alliance. We are supporting members of the National Beagle Club (AKC) and are
associate members of the Columbia Willamette Beagle Club (AKC). We are also proud
members of these Beagle Clubs across the big pond: The Beagle Club of Western
Australia (ANKC) and the Beagle Club of New South Wales (ANKC).
